Dr. Cara DiMarco received her Bachelor
of Arts in English, Master's of Science in Journalism, Master's of
Science in Counseling Psychology, Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling
Psychology from the University of Oregon. Her professional focus since 1988 has been to assist women in actively reclaiming their aliveness, their motivation and clarity, and the components necessary for them to have authentically thriving lives. Dr. Cara has a passion for seeing the light come back on in women's eyes, for taking the challenges and obstacles that can be stressful and hurtful, and helping them understand how to most successfully navigate their way through those times. She believes that once a woman can make sense out of what is happening to her and then learn tools to appropriately change both the situation and the outcome, the stress, pain and fear falls away--leaving women with additional energy and creative resources to turn toward building a thriving future for themselves and those they love. Dr. Cara has a private psychology practice in Eugene, is a professor at Lane Community College, an author of two books, a frequent speaker at conferences, and is in the process of writing her third book, Inconvenient Women: Choosing To Thrive No Matter What.
