  FAQ

1. What does “inconvenient” really mean?
The world is constantly presenting us with a string of inconveniences, one after the other, and as women we often try to make certain that we don’t add to anyone’s experience of being inconvenienced. We do this by bending over backwards to be as convenient as possible, moving ourselves to the bottom of the list, or sometimes not even making it onto the page.

We often fall into the all-too-common trap of there never being a “convenient” time for us to engage in truly recharging, life enhancing, thriving behaviors and experiences. We want those we love to thrive; yet we repeatedly abandon our self-thriving if it ever creates the slightest possibility that someone might be inconvenienced.

When we adapt to everyone else’s rhythms and preferences, we lose touch with our own, and lose our thriving selves. We need to negotiate with ourselves first and then with others regarding the elements that are essential to our thriving, knowing that often our preferences, rhythms, and choices will be inconvenient.

It’s time for women to take the lead, change our collective approach, be inconvenient in warm-hearted, positive ways and increase the likelihood of us having thriving kids, partners, families, communities, and a beautifully thriving world—a world which has started speaking, thinking and acting in the untapped currency of thriving.

Ultimately, all of these connections will be enhanced by the very inconvenience that initially led to the beginning of women’s active and energetic thriving. From this place, we as women can create lives that allow us to be our best selves, and anchor the world with the power of our female clarity, wisdom, and thriving well-being.

2. Won’t this be hard on others? Will this make me selfish?
Learning to authentically, enthusiastically, and robustly thrive is the most unselfish thing you could do for those you love, because when you do this, they get the very best of who you are mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. And although any new shifts in behavior and interactions can feel both different and a bit difficult, what most women quickly notice is that their lives, and the lives of those they love, begin to run much more smoothly because they’re operating from a well-nourished, revitalized, energized center.

3. What if I don’t know how to build a Big Yes?
No problem-you’ve got lots of company-in fact, IWI was initially formed out of the realization that as women, we are naturally gifted and motivated to assist everyone else in the healthy construction and maintenance of their Big Yes, yet most of us have given little thought or energy to tackling the process of building our own Big Yes.

Dr. Cara has successfully guided hundreds of women through a light-hearted, enlivening, step-by-step process that encourages women to become profoundly in touch with the aspects of life that they most want to say “Yes” to with their energy, attention, and life force. Your only task is to say a “Big Yes” to the process, and Dr. Cara and her team will help you accomplish the rest.

4. How can having a Big Yes positively impact my life?
Resisting, defending, and contending with aspects of life that you wish you didn’t have to engage with often easily drains the energy, enthusiasm and well-being of any woman. By learning how to clearly identify the people, experiences, and ways of being that you most want to send your significant Big Yes energy toward allows you to engage with your world with clarity, calmness, consistency, and a conscious sense of commitment-a clear daily living of what you most value and choose to embrace, moment to moment.

Being able to live from this beautifully centered Big Yes allows women to extend the positive energy generated in their Big Yes out to the individuals and pursuits they cherish, thereby enhancing the potential well-being of the most important aspects of their lives.
